What Claude actually costs here

Every plan card on this site prints two numbers: the price at Anthropic's own checkout, and the price here. This page explains the gap, because a reseller that will not show you its margin is a reseller worth being suspicious of.

The four parts of the number

A one month Claude Pro gift lists at twenty dollars. Sales tax is charged on that purchase and runs to a little under two dollars. The swap from your coin into our settlement asset costs a flat two dollars. What is left is our margin, and on this domain it is the thinnest of the five sites we run.

Add those together, round down to the whole dollar, and you get the figure on the card. Nothing else is added at checkout, and there is no separate service charge waiting on the deposit page.

Longer terms cost less per month

Anthropic prices three months at fifty seven dollars rather than sixty, six months at one hundred and eight, and twelve at two hundred and four. Those discounts pass through to you untouched. Measured against the monthly rate that works out at roughly fifteen percent off at three months, twenty three at six, and thirty one at twelve.

Our fee does not scale with the term, so on a twelve month order the fixed two dollars is spread across a year rather than a month. The longer the plan, the closer our price sits to Anthropic's.

What the tax line is

Gift subscriptions are bought through a normal consumer checkout and sales tax applies at the rate of the jurisdiction the purchase is made in. It is a real cost we pay, not a line invented to pad the total. If you bought the same gift yourself with a card you would pay it too.

What moves and what does not

The dollar price is fixed when you order. The coin amount is calculated from that dollar figure at the rate at that moment and then held for the deposit window, so a move in the market while you are copying the address does not change what you owe. If the window closes before you send, nothing is owed and the next order simply quotes at the new rate.
